Great place to grab a bite to eat after shopping. Way better than food court. Great happy hour specials and drinks. Good atmosphere but can get a little loud.

Not impressed for the price. The food was so-so at best, and the wait staff was inattentive. Three served, bought a bottle of wine and had to wait quite a while just to have the waiter bring the bottle over. I have enjoyed many fine dining establishments but I will not be going back to this one. The food was very bland and the filets each had gristle throughout them. The side dished were substandard for an upscale place. I was very disappointed. We sat at 6:40PM and did not receive any food until 7:40PM. I don't mind waiting if the food is wonderful but this was not. The ambiance is good, nice clean facilities. Unfortunately that was about the only plus side for us. Total bill for three was about $180.00 before tip. There are much better places near by if I want to drop some money.

We popped into this rather dead place one afternoon after some shopping. There were maybe one or two other tables dining at the time. We were on the hunt for something different - we enjoy seafood/fish roughly once a month. This place is sassy and pricey, but the food was quite excellent. We ordered some sort of sample platter that consisted of lobster, shrimp, and salmon. The appetizer was a coconut shrimp with orange horseradish marmalade, which was very, very tasty. My entree was a delicious portion of salmon, which was cooked damn near perfection. The side was equally as amazing - red pepper white cheddar mash. My wife ordered the stuffed shrimp.....must have been good since I didn't even get a sample. We also went for dessert - the chocolate gooey butter cake, which was decadent and delightful. Our waiter (who I am sure was bored out of his mind and lonely) was very knowledgeable and cordial. He went over the menu and shared his personal favorites. He was also chatty and friendly as could be - I can't blame him considering business was rather slow. I won't lie - the place is quite pricey. However, the quality of food did make up for some of that excess cost. If you like seafood - I recommend giving it a shot. It is a chain - albeit a small one, but it was a lovely lunch dining experience.

First time went there with my wife and 2 years old daughter. It was a tuesday night.it was not that busy. The service was very slow.food was way too expensive. Food portion was very little.for starter we had a fried seafood sampler.I found almost 7-8 pieces of fried vegetable in that platter. For my main I had a 9oz sirloin steak. The plating was a disaster. A steak and 4 pieces of asparagus cost me 25 dollars..tastewise no complain..but did not like the very small portion of my meal..

I received a $100 gift card for McCormick and Schmick's this Christmas and decided to go here with another couple on a Friday night. They have valet parking ($5) which is nice since this is at a mall and finding close parking can be a issue. The restaurant was not busy (7pm till 8:30), but neither was the service. We waited a while before our drink order was taken, but it took 10 minutes to get our cocktails. One issue, I ordered Glenlivet (just on the rocks) and I am convinced that they either served watered down Glenlivit or gave me Cutty Sark, three times. The meals we good, but not great. My feeling is I would spend my money at some other restaurant while in St. Louis like Flemings, or Citizen Kane's. I have eaten at the Kansas City and Portland (Harborside) before and had wonderful meals and experiences. This M&S does not meet the standard.

Ruined our New Years Eve .... Great service but the Food was horrible they must have had the "D" team in the kitchen.... Burnt on one side Raw on the other .... Not one meal but 3 ..... Filet ordered medium comes out VERY well done .... They did attempt to make it with discounts and free dessert but I would much rather pay for a good meal instead...... Our last visit for sure

I had been looking forward to eating there for a while. I can't say I was disappointed but I wasn't impressed either. The food was good and the service was acceptable. I thought it was overpriced for what you got.

One of the worst restaurant experience in recent memory. I will never go back to this, or any, McCormick and Schmicks. The service was poor and lengthy. The food was near inedible. I get flashbacks just thinking about it.

Expensive chain seafood but good deal at happy hour where most appetizers and drinks are half priced. They also have great oysters cheap at happy hour. Chicken wings and tuna sliders are great.

Mediocre at best. I guess I'm a seafood snob, living in California the last 6 years. My brother likes this place, since he lives in Ohio, so I decided to give it a try on mother's day. Seated right away, drinks took a little longer than expected (10-15 mins), but we finally got them. We ordered calamari and the shrimp kisses to start. The Shrimp kisses were pretty tasty, you get 5 bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers... For around $10-12. The calamari was NOT good. It was maybe 10-12 small calamari pieces with about 20 'various' vegetables, including deep friend jalapenos (surprise!). Literally you didn't know what you were eating from one bite to the next. I had the iceberg wedge.. It was 'ok' for $7.95. I've had much, much better for that price. The clam chowder soup wasn't anything to write home about .. I'd say Campbells chunky clam chowder out of a can would be about equal. I had the Palm Beach Mahi Mahi -- the fish was good, but it was seriously lacking flavor. I guess I should've spent the extra $3 or $4 for the 'toppings' such as avacado pico de gallo, or the fruit salsa... kind of lame a $25 dish with a side of mashed potatoes doesn't actually come with a choice of one of those toppings. The fish itself was pretty small for the price. I could get the same piece of fish and mashed potatoes at California Fish Grill in Irvine, CA, for about $10. It would probably have flavor, too. Come dessert, the waiter didn't even know about the free truffles for mom. For a $200 meal, this manager needs to get his staff and his restaurant together. All in all, they have fresh fish, which is cool, that gets them a second star.. But it totally lacked flavor, and the service was terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place or go back. Bravo, next door, would've been a much better choice.

Tried it for the first time and ordered the Mahi Mahi but I wasn't impressed. The crab potato hash was really good and the service was excellent but the mahi mahi was a bit bland. Maybe I am a seafood snob because I grew up in an area where it is fresh and abundant but I always give everything a chance because preparations matter. The place does have a nice feel and had a nice experience otherwise.

Waiter does heavy sell on booze. Kind of a douche. Food is mediocre. I had plank salmon. Partner had mussels. Both items were ok. It's expensive. I would not go out of my way for this place.

Its just ok........ Had a client over for a business lunch and the joint was empty, except for the large party of older ladies that they sat us right next to.....interesting..... Service from Jean was excellent..... Food - 2 out of 5. The "special" of the Salmon Saute had too little Salmon and too much rich cream, but the chowder is solid. I also think its brutal that they charge $1 extra for an Arnie Palmer. New place next time..... Iced Tea (2 @ 3.25) 6.50 Ln Almond Crusted Trout 16.50 Arnold Palmer 3.75 Ln Cup Clam Chowder (2 @ 5.99) LN Salmon Saute (2 @ 12.99) 25.98 Arnold Refill 1.00 Total = $71.91

Being a restaurant in a mall and being a good restaurant are not mutually exclusive. Coldstone shattered that myth in 1995 (yes, I had to look that up. No, I have don't have a life.). On a Friday night it took about 20 minutes to find a parking space, and in order to get from our parking space to this restaurant we had to trespass beyond construction fencing... twice. This restaurant seemed super fancy pants. Ohhhh, West County Mall. Where I'm from, malls were considered upscale if they had an Orange Julius. The food was excellent. We ordered off some sort of Game Day Happy Hour menu, despite being unaware of any sort of game. It's Game Day somewhere, I suppose. We ordered some sort of chips appetizer, which was DELICIOUS, though unexpected. It's hard to describe. Chips. With cheese and crap on them? Ordered a burger, which was not cooked to order, though also not well done, which is bonus points in my book. The waitress offerred to split our check without us even asking, which pretty much shocked me, because nowadays trying to get a waitress to split a check is like trying to get Lindsay Lohan to not violate her probation. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. If a guy brought me here on a date... Well, you know. ;)

Thank you McCormick and Schmick's for honoring our veterans with a free meal today! With that said, and really hating to kick a gift horse in the mouth, I will pump up a star. Compared to our last visit , it was a huge let down. My husband (retired Marine) and I had a 2 o'clock reservation. We were quite surprised to find the restaurant not very busy. We were slowly met by our server. My husband ordered the Fish and Chips. The fish was fresh and crisp. The fries were fries. The cole slaw was a small bowl of shredded cabbage devoid of any flavor. Surprised that they presented a lunch menu, I ordered probably the blandest Asian Chopped Chicken Salad on the planet. The chicken was diced into the teeniest cubes. The dressing was lack luster. My husband inquired about some bread that is usually served with the meal. The server informed us since Landry's has acquired the restaurant, they are no longer to bring out bread unless it is requested. He then pointed it out on the menu where it is written in very small print. He then said he would put in a order and it should be out in about 4 minutes. We were nearing the end of our meal, when he stopped and said he would refill the diet coke. I then asked if the bread is served after the meal, with a laugh. He then came back with each a roll that he took from a basket with his tong and placed on our bread plate. My goodness, you would think these rolls would be spectacular with the all the red tape to get to them. Alas, more meh. The last time we were there we ordered thee best Carrot Cake I have ever had. Being a skeptic, I thought I better ask if they still offered this Carrot Cake, as I just mentioned to my husband, with my luck they will no longer have it. I must be phychic! They replaced that one with a different Carrot Cake yesterday. We passed. The last surprise was getting the bill and finding that a diet coke was $3.25. My phychic powers are telling me that Landry's is not taking this place in the right direction.

Expectations were high going in. Unfortunately, they were not even close to being met. My wife and I made reservations for 6:30PM on a Sunday. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and had no trouble getting a seat. They were probably at 20% or less capacity. The hostess seated us and while waiting for our waiter I decided to go ask the bartender for a recommended drink. I like vodka and am always interested in trying something new. When I tried to explain this to him I got a deer-in-the-headlights look back. I settled on vodka and Cranberry juice ($11). Once back at the table our waiter explained the menu and the specials. We took a few more minutes to decide and then placed our order. I had the Salmon in Asian sauce while my wife had the Mahi Mahi I also ordered a side of grilled Asparagus since mine really didn't come with a side. This was also about the only time I got my water glass filled. After a longish wait most of the dinner arrived. They forgot my side item. My wife liked her fish. My Salmon was overcooked. The bottom layers of the fish were brown. The sauce was good but a tad too much salt for me. Still no refill on the water. Eventually my side showed up, after we had finished our mail course. It was brought out by a runner so still no water for me. The next time we saw him was when he brought us the desert menu. We skipped dessert, paid, and left. For a restaurant that is supposed to be top tier it was a disappointment. With the variety of choices in the St Louis area we have NO plans to return.

I normally avoid seafood when I can't see the ocean. I found that to be a surefire way to avoid any landlocked shrimp issues, but I made the exception while dinning with my mother a few days ago. I had Prosciutto Crusted Corvina served with Potato Gnocchi and squash. It was delicious! Rather than be wrapped in a flat slice of prosciutto it was some sort of breadcrumb meat chutney on top that was to die for. It was a fish I'm not familiar with, but close to a firm tilapia, that had an almost buttery taste. Yum! My only less than stellar point was that their chopped salad is more like a salt shaker explosion on a Greek salad than what you think of. It had a ton of green olives, a very salty dressing, blue cheese, bacon and something else I can't remember. It was straight out of the Today show "eat this, not that" when it comes to sodium. Since it wasn't what we expected the server was very kind and removed it from our bill.

The food is amazing! Better than expected every single time I go! Amazing! The service could use some work. Servers are pretty slow, some forgot to bring salads, did not refresh drinks, pushed every possible upcharge on the menu, etc. I will still go for the food, but really wish the service would improve.

Days after eating here and I'm still debating if I like this place or Bristol better. I think Bristol might win my continued business for 2 reasons: 1) location.. West County mall parking SUCKS most days and 2) their frequent diner program. At Bristol, I sign up for their mailing list and get a free entree on my birthday plus coupons for $20 off of $50 on a regular basis. At M&S, it's $25 to join! Fail. The seafood was absolutely delicious. I had a crab, mango and avocado appetizer that was SO good. I could have just eaten two of those. The entree itself was a decent size. I had three small fish filets on top of a pile of potato. I couldn't finish it after the appetizer. Chocolate bread pudding was.. ok. Just ok. Sorry, Stephanie S but I'm not on the "best bread pudding ever" bandwagon. I could only manage a few bites because it was too rich! Overall, I would consider going again. The seafood was good. I just think that if I'm going to spend $40 on dinner I'll probably do it next door at J. Gilbert's.

Very over priced for the quality of service as well as portion size. We have tried them several times both lunch as well as dinner and have been left with a feeling of, What is going on? I have eaten at other location around the country and it has been better, but some real training need to be done here.

Well...we all know that good seafood is hard to come by in the midwest. I've tried McCormick & Schmicks twice now and have had mixed experiences. On my most recent visit, I tried the walu Hawaiian fish with jasmin rice, veggies and a sweet Asian glaze/sauce. My taste-buds were loving this. The walu was a firm white fish and thick flaked and the glaze was perfect on the fish. I loved it. So...this is where it turns bad....I decided to research walu fish since I'd never had it before and loved it so much. I wanted to see what this tasty fish looks like. Well, in my search, I start seen info about "Hawaii considers ban on walu fish" and "Beware of walu fish and the laxative effect". Well, I won't go into detail...I'll let you research this fish on your own if you want to know more. Lets just say that the next day was not pleasant! The funny thing is that I liked this dish so much that I would honestly consider ordering it again knowing that I would pay for it in the end! Anyway, back to the other dishes. I had a bite of my friends tilapia. I think it was described as having a caribbean spice and cashew nut encrustment on it. The point is that it wasn't very good and I'd be sure to never order it. The other dishes were good and the mussels were perfect as a starter. The crab meat and queso dip was also nice. The menu changes daily depending on whats been flown in that day. My understanding is that twice a day, they receive fresh shipments. The service was excellent on both of my visits and I would highly recommend reservations on weekends. I wanted to give this place 4 stars after eating the walu, but because of my friends bad dish and my negative reaction to the walu, I decided to give it 3 stars.

This was my second visit in recent months. Sat at the bar both times, as I was there for happy hour. The first time I went, the bartender acted rather indifferent. I left after one drink. I decided to give them another chance today. After all, there are probably other bartenders, right? Well, unfortunately, the second time, the same bartender was there. If possible, the service was even worse. Borderline rude and didn't acknowledge the couple that came in shortly after I did for a least five minutes even though they were the only other people at the bar. Certainly way more interested in socializing and gossiping with the other employees than tending bar. I've been to other McCormick & Schmick's and have always felt welcome and appreciated. Here, not so much so.

My wife and I stopped in for what we thought would be a great experience only to be completely disappointed. Instead of a minute to look over the menu, we were given 30. The waiter had a very bad attitude and treated us rudely. Once we ordered our food, there was another hour wait, only to have been served the wrong dish and my wife's entree was poorly cooked. She ordered the Alaskan salmon, cedar planked with a whiskey maple glaze and it smelled like cat food and required a knife to cut it. I could have gone to Outback and had a meal 100 x better. I originally ordered the sea scallops but was served the wrong dish. I had to wait another 20+ minutes to receive my correct meal and when I did, the scallops were very squishy and undercooked. I ate them anyway because I was starving. Thank god I did not get sick afterwards. Neither my wife nor I was able to eat her meal, which was sent back to the kitchen. The dining experience was my worst. Almost 2-1/2 hours later, we were ready to go after getting the check. I've never dined and dashed but this was one experience where I was very tempted to do so. $36 for squishy scallops but at least they took the other entree off the bill.

McCormick & Schmick's might be expensive as shit (and therefore, too rich for my blood), but they get 5 stars for their bread pudding alone. It's the best I've ever had. EVER. That's right. Until further notice, McCormick & Schmick's holds the title for Best Bread Pudding Stephanie Has Ever Tasted In Her Life. You heard it here first. Before I go any further, I'd just like to state that I feel incredibly guilty giving the BBPSHETIHL award to McCormick & Schmick's. Why? Well, two reasons: 1. McCormick & Schmick's is a chain. How dare I place M&S's bread pudding over the stuff at Remy's, Annie Gunn's, or Eleven Eleven?! 2. The bread pudding at McCormick & Schmick's TASTES LIKE A FREAKING BROWNIE. Yes. The Chocolate Bailey's Bread Pudding at M&S tastes (and looks!) like a rich, decadent, ooey-gooey brownie. In between eye-rolls and groans, all I could think to myself was how there was NO WAY this could be BP. No. Way. I felt like I was cheating on my beloved traditional bread pudding! But it was. The menu said so. The waiter said so ('it's my favorite item on the dessert menu,' he quipped). And Joselyn H. And Christine F., who were experiencing bread pudding nirvana right along with me, confirmed it. This was definitely bread pudding. So...yes. This chocolate baileys bread pudding, served warm, with creme anglaise, bitter sweet chocolate sauce, and light and fluffy whipped cream? The best bread pudding I've ever had in my life. IN MY LIFE. Go here. Now. And take me with you? Please?

  • Christine F.

Alright, alright, Steph, calm down. You're getting your drool everywhere. Yes, the bread pudding was legit. I'm not even a huge chocolate fan and I ran a train on that BP (with Stephanie's permission, of course). It was really delicious. Better than a brownie. Had the flavors of a brownie, but the warm, soft, fluffy texture of bread pudding. But the prices here are pretty high. I went ahead and ordered the shrimp cocktail appetizer. At $15, I figured I was going to be getting a pretty substantial amount of food. Like, one of those party platters at Schnuck's that you could share with several people. Or as is usually the case, at home, by myself....don't judge. Anyway, it came out in a glass cup filled with ice. Sitting unceremoniously on top of the ice was a small cup of cocktail sauce and five pieces of shrimp. FIVE. Okay, really? I just paid $15 for 5 pieces of shrimp? Shrimp that you didn't even have to sautee or flavor or wrap in bacon or really put a lick of effort into? If you're going to serve me expensive shrimp, at least let it be served by a hot man as naked as those shrimp were. Turned me off, a lot. I felt robbed. Also, I guess I really shouldn't speak for another Yelper (especially one that says she won't review a place after only visiting it once) but Joselyn H said her potatoes on her fish dish were undercooked. The fish apparently was good, but it didn't seem, to me, worth the $27 or whatever it was she paid. But maybe I'm just a cheapskate. So that's where McCormick and Schmick's didn't hit it off with me. But the service was great, the ambience very nice. My suggestion? Skip dinner, and hit this place up at happy hour, or for drinks and dessert.

Went to dinner with another couple last night and wasn't impressed. We were disappointed that they no longer have crab legs, so 3 of us ordered the live Maine lobster. Amazingly we were told that the kitchen isn't allowed to de-shell lobster anymore because they are now owned by Landry's and have a bunch of new rules. Uh; ok. Let me get this straight; we order 4 appetizers, a couple rounds of drinks, 2 bottles of wine, 4 entrees (Bill was well over $400) and your corporate brain-trust won't allow the kitchen to take a couple minutes to make our experience better by keeping the shell fragments, juice, butter etc off of our hands and clothes.... Noted. Doubt we'll ever go back and if we do we certainly won't be getting the lobster.

    (2)
  • Deanna B.

The guy who said "mediocre at best" had it right! If I were at red lobster I wouldn't complain. But at 25-30$ per entree. Really? The fish lacked any spice or flavor. The potatoes were instant (out of a box).Yes, I could tell. The 2 broccoli florets on the side were over cooked. Not worth the time or the price.

A $20 off coupon I picked up in the Delta Airlines club in Atlanta, prompted us to have dinner at M&S in St Louis. Knowing this is part of a higher end chain of establishments I was a little skeptical, but we had a very nice dinner and overall experience. This is a nice place, we chose a booth. The service was excellent throughout. We enjoyed two appetizers, pot stickers topped with crunchy sesame seeds and a very nice hoisin based sauce with well balanced flavors. We also had spring rolls that were crispy, light and complemented by a tangy, soy based sauce. This was a nice start. We took advantage of the seasonal selection of crab based specialties. Ms T had a very good crab ravioli topped with a wonderful creamy sauce. I had a small filet, Oscar style, topped with asparagus, crab meat and Hollandaise. The steak was grilled perfectly with a flavorful crust. The asparagus was tender and crisp and the green beans on the side were perfectly steamed. I would have liked a little more lemon in my Hollandaise, but I dipped my steak in Ms T's ravioli sauce when she was not looking. We shared a side order of delicious sweet potato hash. The food was all very good, well prepared and well presented. We don't go to places in this price range every day. We are usually looking for homier places, dives or one-of-a kind joints. But we will probably return. You can easily drop $100 for dinner for two, with dessert and drinks. We certainly did not leave disappointed.

I've enjoyed other McKormick & Schmicks, so I expected the St. Louis location would be good too. How wrong I was. It was awful. We visited on a weeknight around 7:30, and it was not too busy. Our waiter was friendly, but it took 3 requests and about 15 minutes for our bread to come out, and it was basically flavorless mushy white bread with airy whipped butter. The salads took another 10 minutes to come out, and the dressings on both were awful. I had a burger and fries, which were served in a metal basket like we were at Chuck E Cheese. I asked for a plate and had to transfer my greasy burger and fries myself, with my hands. The burger was just OK, not great. Pretty flavorless. I would have put a lot of katsup on but they only gave me like a tablespoon in a little cup. My wife had cashew crusted tilapia, which was OK. It was served with white rice that was basically flavorless mush. It might even have been microwaved. The only saving grace of the dinner was watching an annoying older waiter attempting to entertain a family of 5 at a round table nearby. We thought it was over the top when he started making jokes to them. When he invited himself to sit down at their table and started playing games with the kids, we were really amused. Good thing he wasn't our server because we would have just walked out. Nothing was good - bread, butter, service, salads, burger, fries, rice. That was our last visit to this location.

I came here today during happy hour to meet a friend. This time, I ordered a dessert. Don't get me wrong. The chocolate bag was good, but it was toooo rich & way tooo much dessert for me. The fresh berries & chocolate make a good combination, but the tons of creme inside the bag was just tooo much for me. I prefer something tiny that is rich in taste, and that would satisfy my tummy. Next time, I'll order a apple pie like I should have in the first place. Thumbs down for not having any sorbets available. The lack of variety in chocolate desserts was a bit disappointing to me. The music in the bar was a wee bit tooooo loud for me. I would like to hear sometimes & have functioning hearing without constantly saying "what, what, what?"

Being in a land locked city has its advantages. Not nearly as many annoying tourists, no risk of a naval assault, etc. Having fresh seafood is not one of them. McCormick & Schmicks has the hook up though. I was dining with two other people, and we all tasted each others meal. I know a thing or two about fish. This was fresh. As fresh as it can be in Saint Louis anyway. (Fresh=Caught, thrown on ice, put on plane, delivered next day.) The only fault that I could really find was that they appear to be big fans of the salt shaker in some of their sauces. So if you are on a sodium restricted diet you may want to stay away. I would also be doing a dis-service if I did not highly recommend the calamari appetizer. It is breaded perfectly, fried to perfection, and served with some type of lemon cream sauce which is simply amazing! There was also another sauce on the plate as well, but I was not a fan so we won't mention it. Our server was incredibly attentive to us and made sure that we wanted for nothing while in her charge. She had impeccable timing, always showing up just when we needed her, and staying away so we could enjoy our meal the rest of the time. I should point out that there were only three tables seated at the same time as us. So not sure if the same would hold true under pressure. Bottom line though. I will be back next time I need my seafood fix.

5 star: Dessert 5 star: Service 3.5 star: Food 2 star: Atmosphere. Noise level off the chart. A last minute decision that a long day should equate to a good meal to balance it all out had me happily resting in a comfy seat here. The waiter had me sample a sip of wine before he poured my glass and I am so glad he did. It tasted like a strong fruit juice. The waiter noticed my expression and quickly suggested another wine that I might appreciate more. This was just for the 4 ounce glass I ordered, of which was 'just' the right size to accompany a meal for me. THAT was good service. It was a slow night for them and my waiter was on his game with gracious warm smiles which made it a more relaxing night then it would have been... It was one of those nights where I am fully aware that I am ordering more food that what was reasonable so I can sample a bit of everything and take it home for leftovers for my husband or I. Small Plates: "Steamed Mussels and Littleneck Clams Garlic, Wine, Fresh Herb" WONDERFUL. So often I get Mussels with a deceptive description that end up being drowned in butter or oil... this was not the case tonight. The Mussels were in a tasty mild broth that had a perfect flavor that I could have just sipped as a soup and be happy if I was feeling like having a reasonable dinner that night. I even dipped a few bits of bread in the broth and nibbled on it. Shhh.. Pretend you didn't see it. Soup: "Crab Bisque with Tawny Port Reduction." Interesting soup, not in a bad way. The presentation was nice but the mixture of flavors and textures were not as attractive in my mouth as it looked on my plate. I could have probably done with out the rice, as it was very filling and didn't add anything to the soup for me. The crab was fresh and there were little bits of shell that would stick in my teeth. I have mixed feelings about that. heh. Not all the ingredients were listed on the menu, so be wary at least of that, and I can't define the rest of what was in this. Overall there were too many flavors & textures going on at the same time. I am skipping this next time, no doubts. Main Course: It was called "The Perfect Combination," of where you could pick two of what you like from a small list of items. My choices were: "Grilled Whitefish" & "Grilled Lake Trout." Fairly I don't feel I can judge the Trout as I haven't had some for so long that I fear that maybe I just don't enjoy trout. On the other hand.. the "Grilled Whitefish" was WONDERFUL. Loved it. Side: "Garlic Mashed Potatoes" Hard to go wrong and they didn't! Very good. No gravy, thank goodness! Dessert: "Holiday Chocolate Trio" HUGE! 3 people could easily eat this dessert! Here's is all you get for a reasonable price: "A Collection of Chocolate Treats consisting of a Chocolate Brownie with Caramelized Bananas and Vanilla Ice Cream, an Individual Triple Fudge Chip Chocolate Mousse Cake and a Red Wine Chocolate Pot de Crème" I immediately ate the little mini Pot de Crème of chocolate and was totally and absolutely satisfied. YUM! Cost: Well it is a bit more then your average dining experience but you know that going in. Some items are absolutely worth their cost and some are not. Look for the recommendations from here at Yelp and from friends. Atmosphere/Sound Level: Here's the part that dragged it down a bit for me.. LOUD. VERY LOUD. Partly because of the 7 to 8 people sitting to my side that were having a good time, no worries but the sound level was really high for only that table and a couple more scattered through out the restaurant. The most noticeable thing to me were the TWO overhead music stations/tracks that were contesting each other for sound territory. You can clearly hear BOTH radios and it is a painful mesh of bar pop'ish music and the general listening music in the dining area. A simple thing that can be fixed, hopefully. That was horrid. I think that in the nice open space that they have there, the sound seems to travel, echoing, as there is nothing to damper the sound level. SO not as relaxing as I wished it to be but still a nice dining experience. TLDR: Nice wine selection and they will make sure you are happy with your selection. That means a lot to me. Small Plates: Mussels are a YUM! Skip the Crab Bisque soup. Too much going on. Many more items in the soup then what is listed on menu. Rice? Shells? fresh crab but shells? :( The Grilled Whitefish is very good. Dessert: "Holiday Trio" is very much the bargain and good. The dessert can easily feed 3 people. Noise travels and two different overhead music tracks competing for each other can be grating on the ears. This is a more lively atmosphere where tender ears should stay at home. Worth a nice dinner. If you bring kids, just know what they say and their sound level will travel. You were warned. ;) :) Enjoy! Worth Going! Don't let the 3 stars stop you! Will be back some time for the good food mentioned above :)

Okay, so let's talk about Food... especially GOOD SEAfood, which is a rarety to find in St. Louis, let alone the Midwest. I've lived here for 10 years now... and have not found a go-to Seafood restaurant nor have I heard of any recommendations from other fellow St. Louisans. McCormick & Schmicks in St. Louis is a hit-and-miss for me. I have eaten here before and have not always been pleased with my seafood order. Many times, as is the case at other restaurants, the food is OVER-Salted. But tonight was not the case. We enjoyed the Oysters sampler (our favorites were (1) the Fanny Bay Oysters from Union Bay, British Colombia and (2) the Chef Creek Oysters from Baynes Sound, British Colombia -- we also tried two others, which were great, but our least favorite of the four samples: (1) Indian Creek oysters from Prince Edward Island, Canada and (2) Malpeque oysters from Prince Edward Island, Canada). If you like calamari, which most people do, the Flash Fried Calamari on a bed of cabbage with fire roasted marinara and parmesan is to die for! We tried the Wild Halibut (from Kenai Peninsula, Alaska) roasted in crispy pastry with wild mushrooms and port wine sauce, and we ordered a side dish of roasted beets, goat cheese and herbs. It was an absolute delight. Not too salty tonight. Service was so-so tonight. It's usually great. We especially remember one waiter in the past who was great... Schuyler. Ambience of the place is great -- we were happy to find the hostess seat us in a booth towards the North side of the restaurant that had drapes/curtains that we could hide behind if we so desired. And the dim lights added to the intimacy. Families were here as well enjoying their dinners. Appears very clean and well-kept, too. Overall Outstanding Experience tonight. Tops on the food tonight. We'll be back for sure. Now we know what to order at least.

Great steaks, fresh fish and dessert. I love their halibut and swordfish steak. It's pricier so my husband prefers Ruth's Chris if we're going to spend the money. However I like to swing by here for a nice meal for a change. Also, every now and then it's worth it to stop by just for dessert. You can't go wrong with their chocolate bag. Chocolate + moose + fruit = happy taste buds! They have a nice bar. You can eat it there or take it to go. This is also a great place for large groups.

Visited yesterday for West Co Restaurant week. Amazing, even though you attend for the $25 3 course meal, you still end up spending a boatload. lol, it was worth it though. The 3 Course: Crab Bisque, Crab Stuffed Shrimp & Molten Cake...awesome! All of it! Well, except those cheddar mashed potatoes, those needed a little help with salt and pepper, but not bad enough to drop down a star on the rating. In addition to the course, I ordered the Crab Dip appetizer and the Strawberry Gin Smash (or something like that). I sooo enjoyed my meal.

I went for a group dinner in a private room. The salad was good, but we had no dressing choice. Entrée choices were fish, steak or chicken. I chose steak. Sides were pre-selected: mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was fine. My steak was cooked properly to my liking, not an easy feat when serving a group. The mashed potatoes were fine -- nothing extraordinary. The green beans weren't seasoned at all, but were cooked well and retained some crispness. The servers were friendly, accommodating and refilled beverages, but not all that quickly. Everybody at my table was using salt and pepper on everything. I took half of my meal home, so I had a fancy lunch for the next day. I know this place is expensive, although I did not pay for this meal -- and for that, I'm glad.

Visited about a week ago and was truly underwhelmed. I've been a few times before but this time was likely my last. My husbands steak was not cooked properly, sent back and came back right but he was not that happy with the cut of meat. I ordered the ultimate mixed grill which I was really looking forward to. The scallops were just slightly undercooked but well seasoned. The stuffed shrimp were tasty but almost cold and the salmon should have been grilled but seemed poached. By the far worst of the meal. The restaurant was not full by far but we were neglected by our server, I had to ask for two things twice. Though he was friendly, just not attentive to us. For the amount we spent including the meals of kids ate, I expected more. On a positive note, the calamari was good,

We went here to celebrate our Valentine. My husband order lump crab tower, shrimp kisses, lobster bisque, a bowl of clam chowder, and stuffed flounder. Lump crab tower is kind of too fishy for me. And in my opinion, Clam chowder is away better than the lobster bisque in my opinion because the lobster bisque was too creamy & heavy. Service was good. Thank you.

This place was ok. Not ok enough for the price. The shrimp and fish tacos were ok. Lobster tail was a good size....the biggest negative for me was steak....I'm a huge steak guy and this steak had no flavor at all. If I'm going to pay the price I did I expect an good steak.

Sub par seafood. This was very disapointing. I have eaten at McCormick and schmicks in other states and was surprised at the sub par quality food that was served here.

First time trying this chain and I was pleasantly surprised! I am definitely a fan! The overall impression that this restaurant gives off is that its patrons are older (late 30s and higher). Wood paneling everywhere, old fashion nautical decor, and very good hospitality. The food is delicious. For lunch, My husband and I scarfed down the mussel appetizer and as well as the deep fried calamari with the awesome lemon aioli sauce. Free bread that melts in your mouth. TIP: use the bread to dunk in the red mussel sauce. They also have different portion sizes for appetizers which helps if you are a party of 2 or a party of 8. I ordered the salmon with orzo pasta while my husband ordered the fettuccine with blacken chicken in a red cajun sauce. Both were tasty, but I commandeered my husband's dish after I tasted it. My favorite! The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the orzo was overcooked. Great service! No complaints there! Prices for dinner are on the higher end (20+). If you aren't rolling in dough, go during lunch or happy hour to try their fabulous food.

I was shopping with a friend at West County Mall today, and we decided to come here for happy hour. Being that it was nice outside, we opted to sit on the patio. I was glad they didn't have the rule of happy hour prices only at the bar area, as some other places do. Their patio is a decent size, and although it is located at one of the main entrances to the mall, they have plenty of tall plants for added privacy. I decided on mojitos for the evening, which were priced at $6 during happy hour. Mojitos are always a nice refreshing summer drink and these did not disappoint. My friend had the lemon drop martinis ($7). We split a few of the menu items for an early dinner. They offer about three items each in different price points, ranging from $3 - $6. We decided on the chicken sliders, chicken quesadillas, sweet potato fries, and blue cheese chips. Though they were smaller portions, this was plenty for the two of us... it was the perfect amount for a two meals. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

On our quest for Valentine's reservations, OpenTable suggested this establishment and we decided to try it. I was able to get a great reservation time and we arrived and were greeted immediately and sat at our table right away. They had intimate tables set up in the back room and we were placed there. Our waiter was superb, right on his game. We started with the spinach salad and shared it as it was bigger than we thought it would be. Our main dishes were fish & chips, which were enough to feed an army and cajun pasta which was consumed as fast as it was brought out. The wine selection is pretty long and you'll be able to find some sort of spirit to make you satisfied. I hear they have great happy hour specials so I hope to get back there and check them out then.

Had lunch at the Des Peres location today with 3 other people. I ordered the lobster bisque. For $13.99 I expected a delicious bowl of bisque with lots of lobster. I got a bowl of bisque that was so over salted I could hardly eat it and the lobster was skimpy because they mixed croutons in with the lobster!! Very disappointed. The walnut bleu cheese salad was ok but I think they used goat cheese instead of bleu cheese because it tasted like goat cheese and had no coloring, just white chunks. The bread was stale. Won't be back.

Food was OK not great. Mussels were not much bigger than a pea. The most annoying aspect of the dinner was the waiter. She constantly tried to sell more, more, more. The place was empty on a Friday night so no doubt pressure is coming from management to "make your numbers". I'd be surprised if this restaurant is still open in 1-1/2 years.

We are totally finished with this place. We gave it another chance because everyone can have a bad day. Three of our party of four actually got sick after we ate there. Just the worse service and food we have ever experienced. Save your money people and go somewhere else.

I have been here twice. The first time, no complaints. The last time though could have been better. It was Valentine's Day and they were packed so we had to wait almost 30 mins past our reservation time to get seated. My husband hated the table, it was seemingly meant for very short people of which he is not and I complained it was so cold. So they moves us over a couple tables, better for my husband but still cold which I told the host who walked away. The food was good, lobster bisque, tasty. I enjoyed my crab cakes. But the service was so awfully slow. The waiter would disappear for long periods. It was about an hour wait from dinner to even getting a dessert menu. The entire time I am still cold, and other women in the room are putting jackets and scarves on. Yes it was crowded when we got there but by the time we got dinner it had cleared out substantially so there was no reason for the disappearing acts. It was about a 3 hour dinner. Most of that was waiting. As we left, my husband told the manager it was cold in that room and that he had complained and she had nothing to say about it and walked away. It was a cold night and I get that but every time the heat kicked on, it blasted cold air for several minutes before briefly changing to warm for mere seconds and then going off. It's hard to enjoy dinner when shivering. I always look forward to dinners with creme brulee as dessert but theirs was so thick and not as it should be. Not awful though. My husband did enjoy his chocolate purse,

Wow, I was expecting the Mitchell's of seafood restaurants and I got Long John Silver's. Okay, maybe not quite that bad, but the service was sub par and I can say with 100% certainty that I could've prepared my meal better. After a short shopping trip at West County, Matthew and I decided on McCormick's for dinner. I had heard good things about the place and figured it was worth a shot. We walked inside and I instantaneously felt snubbed. It wasn't on a verbal level as much as it was the staff's condescending "I'm looking down my nose at you" expression. We got the same vibe from the bar tender as well. Since they were apparently "booked all night" (I saw plenty of open seating during the hour we were there), we were told to find seating at the bar. We weren't exactly attended to promptly and every time I gestured for the bar tender, it almost felt as though it was a nuisance for him to assist us. When we got our food, neither one of us were impressed. Give the ambiance of the establishment and they way we were treated (I wasn't sure if it was that we were CLEARLY the youngest people there [no money] or that we weren't wearing any designer apparel...), I at least had high hopes for the quality and presentation of our entrees, but to no avail. Just another typical chain. I definitely won't be back.

This place is pretty good. It is not "great," but it is good. My hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch today. I had the ceasar salad to start which was good plus the fresh rolls (yummy!). For my entree I had the tuna melt which was okay..the french fries were delicious though! Very crispy! My husband had the almond crusted trout which was good, but nothing special. He, ofcourse, loved the rolls too. We would go here again to try their dinner menu. I say 4 stars overall.

Decided to go to McCormick & Schmicks because it was very hot and desired a light meal of seafood and salad. We were seated promptly but then waited for quite a length of time for water to be poured or to be asked for our drink order. Service was slow and there were no bus staff. When our server did refill our empty water glasses she ignored one person from our party. The food was good and our server was not satisfied with the size of the shrimp in an appetizer order so they had the kitchen make an additional order.

I was kinda dissapointed. Someone had told me how great this place was for them. While the food was pretty decent, the service was lacking so it may get a return visit to be sure. Waited way to long for more water, and some food was forgotten ... we ordered stuff salmon (excellent), wedge salad (very good), chopped salad (very good), salmon linguine (very good), spanish coffee (very good) and berry shortcake (excellent) and creme brulee (very good). It could be a 4 star I think pretty easy. Maybe a nice date place for the decor.

I don't get it. Everyone seemed to be overly excited about St. Louis "finally" getting a McCormick & Schmicks. Having never been, I decided to check it out with some friends. It wasn't bad but if your fish is that good and that fresh, why do you need to put sauce and other forms of added fat and salt on it? I was hoping for a healthy, fresh fish meal and there weren't many options. I ended up going with salmon because it was the only thing I could find on the menu that seemed to have a light sauce and a side of steamed veggies. But, if you don't care about fat and calories, it is a good place to get fresh seafood but only because there aren't many other options for that it in St. Louis. Service was fine but our table sucked. We were at a four-top in the middle of the room and because they really make an effort to cram their tables together, a few waiters knocked into me when they walked by. Plus, I felt like I was practically on top of everyone else in the room. I think for the price you could expect a little more seclusion and less chaos. However, the booths looked spacious so if you go, I would make a point to request one. Overall, it seemed pretty chain-y which I expected but I thought it would be more on par with Flemmings in terms of atmosphere, quality of food, presentation. It seemed like a notch below Flemmings in those respects.

May the Gods of Brunch be blessed!! I love brunch it's a perfect eating opportunity on the weekend when waking up late and too lazy to do anything in your own kitchen. M & S offers an awesome Brunch menu and they hold back at nothing. My personal favorite the Crab Cakes Benedict. A fluffy perfectly poached egg sits upon a nice and plump crab cake this item does come with two eggs and two crab cakes!! The crab cakes are well seasoned and all crab, not mostly bread crumbs like some places. The spiked blueberry lemonade is tasty, but I'm a sucker for the Blood Orange Mimosa! The prices are reasonable considering it's not your mom and pop's diner.

I realize that it's someone's last name, but I always want to call this place McCormick & Schmucks. After paying $80 for a meh meal, I felt like the schmuck. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great, I despise Red Lobster, but think I've had better meals there. Nice patio though.

Being a long way from the ocean, decent seafood is hard to come by in St. Louis and more often than not means Red Lobster or Joe's Crab Shack. McCormick and Schmick's is a pleasant exception to the norm. They claim to get fresh fish in twice a day, and I'm inclined to believe them -- it was very good. The menu changes two times a day to accommodate what they get in stock, and is large enough to have something for almost everybody. The bar is very large, the atmosphere is nice, and the salads, appetizers and desserts are excellent as well. Even the little tomatoes that garnished my meal were good.

We're definitely coming back. This restaurant fits in the "pricey but worth it" category. I had the salmon stuffed with crabmeat and shrimp. It was cooked exactly how I asked for it. The sauce complimented the salmon perfectly. And the pumpkin upside down cake for dessert was delicious. Service was attentive, the decor is classy and cheerful, you do not need to dress up to feel comfortable here.

Came here last night for my birthday dinner - decided to sit at the bar and have a few drinks before dinner. Our bartender Aaron was fabulous - he offered some great drink suggestions and was extremely personable. I was excited that martinis here were only $6.50 - after my sticker shock at some other restaurants, I felt a $6.50 martini was def well worth it (they were delicious!). My favorite for the night was something called a cosmo-mimosa - you can't go wrong with drinks that have FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice (they do it when you order, so you know it's fresh!). Since we were having so much fun at the bar, we opted to stay at the bar to have dinner as well. Aaron brought us each a surprise (complimentary) shrimp amuse-bouche - it was a lightly breaded shrimp over cous cous. We had a bowl of the roasted corn and seafood chowder - delicious! It has the familiar hint of clam chowder but without all the cream and thickness. For dinner, I had the crab cakes - not the best I've ever had (that would be reserved for Baltimore), but they were pretty good - the most important thing was that they were actually made with crab meat and not filler. On top of that, you get 3 crab cakes instead of the typical serving size of 2. My bf had the halibut and was able to make modifications to the entree sides without problems. The halibut was def fresh and was delicious. And since it was my birthday, I had my choice of dessert for free - a lot of restaurants will have some standard bday dessert, but M&S allows you to choose from their entire tray. Everything looked good, but I opted for the creme brulee (my all-time favorite). The creme part was delicious, but there must've been too much sugar on top bc it was extremely sweet (I managed to eat around it). I also had a chance to see the Happy Hr specials they offer - the specials are awesome! You can get all kinds of menu items for under $5. Great deal! I will def come back to try that. All in all, the food was pretty good, but the service made it excellent. I would def come back again!

I stopped in for a quick bite before work. The location was convenient since I had to stop by West County Mall anyway. I stayed in the bar since it was happy hour. There are only a handlful of tables in the bar area. I ordered the fish tacos, chicken quesadilla, and mussels. The tacos and queadilla were average. Typical bar fare. The mussels were a treat. Cooked perfectly and tasty. All in all, I was satisfied and would go back if I was in the area.

One star might be too many. Just got home from eating there. Had the fried shrimp with mashed potatoes and slaw. The shrimp were good, the slaw was very, very, dry and the so called MP had to come from a box. All of this and a beer and two glasses of wine for two of us and the total bill with tip was $128. Wow...never again. Use to just love the place but man it has gone down hill....

McCormick & Schmick's just opened in St Louis (at the West County Mall) one week ago. I know they are trying extra hard because they've just opened, but we've had several great experiences dining here, so far just for lunch. My husband and I are both seafood lovers, and the cedar plank salmon has been amazing each time we've tried it. My husband also tired the blackened salmon Caesar and loved it. One special note: They listen to suggestions. After our first visit, we got a follow up call asking how we liked the meal. We commented that the starter salad was very small, and on our next visit the salad was twice the size. BTW, the farmer's market starter salad is yummy, with grilled vegetables on top of greens. We've dined at other M&S restaurants and the concept is great, they bring in fresh fish daily and offer daily selections and specials depending on the catch. For non-fish eaters, they have a selection of beef and chicken that should satisfy the palate. M&S, we're glad you're in St Louis!

Ive been here 3 x's now. The service has been very good both times. The food is pretty good, just not the quality you expect. My fish has been fantastic, but its the sides that are a bit lacking. A bit dry here or bland there. Good for a chain, but Ive had better at locally owned restaurants such as Citizen Kane's or places further downtown. Always draws a bit of the cougar generation. Always fairly crowded and its usually easier to valet park. The drinks at the bar are always good.

Very nice atmosphere. Lobster bisque disappoints: on the bland side and not warm enough. Seafood dishes were delicious; filet mignon was below average- with a charge this high it usually melts in your mouth. Good service but not what I expect when paying this much: eg some plates were placed from the right, no fresh cracked pepper was offered, no table crumbing. Their markup on their wine & spirits is as high as you will encounter. Overall, VERY overpriced. C'mon- at these prices, they've gotta do better than their dinner rolls- they were actually TERRIBLE!- I've had better at my high school cafeteria.

Maybe this was just a bad night for them, but was my first time there and BAD BAD service. Had to send my food back 3 different times and I have never ever had to do that anywhere. The waiter was unfriendly and the food bad. How do you mess up a salad? I was not impressed with the menu so I will not be going back. One nice thing was that I liked the looks of the place, but I cant eat the curtains :)

I took my wife here for her birthday. They put happy birthday and her name on the menu for her which she loved. I ordered there steak and my wife got the live Main lobster. Food was pricey, but really, really good. I would come back here for sure.

I know it's a chain and I am disappointed in myself. I had no say in the matter... With that said, everything was actually pretty good. Service was awesome and food was prepared well. Even the wine list had good selections. I had the steak and stuffed shrimp. Tried the calamari and crab cakes too. So why such an average rating? I'm just not excited about the place. Sometimes you need things to be consistent and if that is on your agenda, come here.

Worst service ever for a place that was almost empty. Food was not that great, portions were too small for the price. Took 30 minutes to get a glass of iced tea and our server paid no attention to empty glasses. Then Two hours later we got our food. They put each person's meal on a seperate check because "Our computer system is not sophisticated enough to seperate it". Very disgusted.

Not impressed. Friday night the place was pretty empty, we had a reservation, were seated promptly. Waiter was anxious to get our drink order 2 seconds after handing us menus. He was very anxious to get the rest of our order taken but we ordered an app for the table and said give us a minute PLEASE! He mumbled that he wasn't going to put the order in too early. Ok. We ordered, calamari app was good, wedge salad was good, dinners arrived via a person we had not seen before. 1 dinner had the wrong side. Now we ask for waiter, he takes the plate away even though the diner asked to just have the correct side sent out. No, have to replate. Meal comes back halfway through the other dinners. Waiter was just not good, water glasses went unfilled until he brought the check. Service wrecked the dinner, which was, for the most part ok.Scallops, perfectly cooked, were the highlight. The shrimp were not the caliber that should be served on a $33 entree. Definitely will try someplace else next time we want seafood.

I went here for lunch with a friend..I got fried shrimp and fries and my friend got a turkey sandwich.. it cost over $50. I could have got the same kind of shrimp at Aldi's for under $5 with about 12 shrimp.. my meal had about 5. Our server was terrible and mumbled the whole time. NOT impressed and dont plan on going back.

I've been to M&S's four times now. This past Tuesday night it was not very crowded and thus much quieter than previous experiences. There were five of us and our bill came to $300 with tip, which puts McCormick & Schmick's at the moderately high end in terms of costs. I believe that the quality of their food is excellent in terms of freshness and taste. Where M&S continues to fall short for me is in the selection and training of their serving staff. In short, when I take my family out for a special dining experience we should be able to focus on one another, without having to deal with a server who is overly chatty or reaching clear across the table to serve food and fill water glasses or not bring a requested item (horseradish). Service definitely needs work at McCormick and Schmicks.

Went shopping at the West Co. Mall last night and after they were closed (about 9ish) we headed over to McCormick's for their 9-10pm HAPPY HOUR! Yes, that's right ....a happy hour right after the mall closes! We sat in this beautiful bar and felt a little under dressed at first, but the staff are very friendly and casual so we were right at ease. They brought out a piece of paper with their specials and we couldn't decide so we just got a few. The Buffalo wings were really good and not too hot. We also liked the sweet potato fries (but not the sauce) and I got a chicken quesadilla that was very yummy! The tomato brie app. was another favorite. All of this w/ 3 drinks was only 22.00!!! The atmosphere is just beautiful and glamorous and it wasn't too crowded. This review is only for the bar but the restaurant part was very nice looking. We will be adding this to our list of places to go after the mall for sure. It's a nice mall too!

Best Fresh seafood in town! St.Louis doesn't have much to offer in terms of good seafood places, but this place is a gem. Plenty of room, so never a long wait usually. The bar is also great. They have a pretty good kids' menu too!

My husband and I ate here for Veteran's Day because McCormick & Schmicks was offering a free meal for veterans. How nice! We won't rush back because the portions were quite small for the high prices. My husband had the Corvina(?) which is similar to red snapper. I had the "choose two" with grilled swordfish and jumbo shrimp scampi. Both dishes were nicely flavored. We then tried the upside down apple pie, at the server's recommendation. Though it was the most expensive dessert ($10), it was totally worth it. The brown sugar topping was delicious and the cinnamon ice cream was also a treat. The total bill for one entree (because one was complimentary) and one dessert was $38 which was overpriced in my opinion, especially because the portions are conservative. One word of wisdom -- make a reservation! They were packed, though that might have been owing to the one-day veterans' special.

Once again a bad review. Our meal was bad too. Calamari greasy, soup too salty, food over cooked and seasoning overpowering to the dish, even my wife drink was done wrong. The manager comped the meal but that hardly made up for ruining her birthday dinner. We have been to other's in this chain and have never experienced such poor quality.

I had great expectations. Initially the decor and the appetizers and fresh fruit juices were great! Our waitress Dana was great. Nevertheless, when it came to the entrees and the main food quality, very disappointing. I thought the dessert might make it better but unfortunately except for the ice cream everything was way below par. The tiramisu was a disgrace! My Dad had a comment "We should have gone to Red Lobster instead!" That states it in a nutshell. Well the presentation was great of all the dishes. By the way, the Etouffe, my favorite dish in every restaurant, was the worst. I could not even take more than a few bites. So don't expect too much from this restaurant.

Shrimp scampi from pick 2 or 3 was very disappointing. Smaller shrimp, tough, not even a hint of garlic. Crab cake average with a lot of filler. Roast pepper mashed potatoes and green beans were great. Service fair. Had stuffed salmon in the past, wrong entree but tasted great! Nice setting for dinner program.

Husband and I celebrated our anniversary in mid-June with dinner here. We've enjoyed several dinners at this establishment, so much so that it is our 'go to' for celebrations. We had an excellent night. We began with coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Dinner included Alaskan salmon with Asian black pepper sauce and New York strip for husband. I've had this salmon dish before and enjoyed it so much that I ordered it again. It was as delicious the second time as it was the first. Wonderful service by "Bill," a quite gregarious and pleasant server. We've enjoyed the "chocolate bag" as dessert in the past (not the most appealing name for a dessert), which I would recommend to anyone who likes dark chocolate and white chocolate mousse. It's very rich and, after dinner, both my husband and I generally struggle to finish it. This dessert is worth the trip. Would certainly go back again and again and again.
